Belmark is currently seeking a Lead Press Operator to facilitate the production processes in the press group in order to maximize thruput, quality and training while minimizing downtime. 2nd shift work hours are from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m., Monday - Thursday. The shift differential for 2nd is $1.00 more per hour.Belmark creates many of the labels, cartons, and flexible film we as consumers see daily when shopping for various items. By following our company mission of speed-to-market, product development, service development and quality, we have created a company dedicated to our customers, and created a culture that values each of our employees.Position Overview* Perform principle duties and responsibilities listed on Press Operator job description.* Perform job okays and hold press operators responsible to be ready before job okay is requested.* Assist with difficult jobs, including problem solving and determining an action plan of what should be done.* Spot check quality during press runs.* Develop the skills of the press operators and the press operator trainees.* Ensure press operators and makeready technicians comply with and follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions.* Relieve press operator during breaks and absences.* Prepare job components in advance according to daily schedule.* Direct makeready technicians/press operator trainees to assist press operators with setup and cleanup of press to reduce downtime.* Report schedule status to supervisor.* Review daily and monthly reports with press operators, learn operators strong and weak points and work with operators who are struggling.* May assist in other areas of production.* May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.Position Requirements* Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.* Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.* Must be able to communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner.* Must be able to determine the relevant facts of a situation in order to resolve problems and make effective decisions under pressure.* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.* Ability to give, receive and analyze information.* Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.* Ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
