Job Description

Job Summary


The individual in this role will provide localized, broad-based Information Technology (IT) support to the manufacturing and administrative functions at the manufacturing site.  Working in close collaboration with the Neenah Enterprises, Inc team based in Neenah, WI, the individual will apply standardized tools and processes to diagnose and remediate local IT issues.
This role will have broad responsibility for maintaining and supporting local hardware and applications, as well as the networking connectivity to NEI systems and data.  The tasks will vary between scheduled maintenance activities, to implementation projects with a measured pace, to ad hoc, fast paced “break-fix” support activities.  Customer service and problem-solving skills are required.

    • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, printer, and connectivity problems
    • Provide first-level support for LAN/WAN/Wireless/VoIP/PLC infrastructure
    • Provide first-level support for enterprise applications and servers
    • Maintain Visual Basic and Crystal Reports applications
    • Demonstrate proficiency with supporting Microsoft Windows, Office365, Google G-Suite, and desktop connectivity
    • Maintain at least a minimal working knowledge of NEI 3rd party software
    • Act as a liaison between users and NEI IT staff to assure effective communication
    • Create accurate and timely logging of initial problems, course of action, and resolution of issues; drive to reduce the time to successful closure of tickets
    • Review and update Help Desk documentation as required
    • Escalate problems appropriately and engage the necessary resources
    • Support and promote effective CyberSecurity policies and processes
    • Provide on-site expertise to the NEI IT team for new implementations, system upgrades, data management, and other enterprise IT tasks

This position description is intended to cover the most significant, ongoing job functions and competency areas.  Successful performance in the role will require performing satisfactorily other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience Requirements
 
    • 2 year degree in an Information Technology related program
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in an IT support role
    • Experience with enterprise networking and security is preferred
    • Experience with supporting 25+ end users is preferred
    • Experience with IT support in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements: Able to access every location in corporate office and plant where user workstations and network equipment reside, use keyboard and mouse, access rack-mounted equipment in computer room/plant, lift and move equipment (monitors, PC’s, printers, etc.)

The worker must be able to access, analyze and otherwise work with, enter information stored in or obtained through the company's computer system, and to communicate effectively with co-workers and third parties who have business dealings with the company's Human Resources operations.  

Travel Requirements

Minimal domestic travel required, not to exceed 5%.
