Application Architect

Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry in their Dallas, TX and Jersey City, NJ location. This is a 12 month + contract position.
Description:
- This role will emphasize Oracle Senior-level database administration and Exadata
- Engineering role specific requiring not only SME knowledge but ability to script/develop automation of enterprise wide processes
- Participates in design, development and implementation of complex databases, often using new technologies
- Provide SME level knowledge of Oracle database infrastructure (Golden gate, Data guard, Rapid Home Provisioning, Exadata)
- Navigate with PL/SQL and will possess a familiarity with patching databases
- Manages multiple, moderately complex projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
- Experience with Agile/ JIRA/ Artifactory/ Jenkins/ Bitbucket experience preferable
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
- Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems
Requirements:
- Preference would be given to candidates familiar with client's standards concepts, practices, and procedures
- Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience
- 7-10 years of solid Oracle DBA experience
- Oracle 12g RDBMS, (19C a plus)
- 7 years' experience in Oracle database technologies: PL/SQL, RAC, Data guard, Rapid Home Provisioning
- 3-5 years OEM administration
- 2-3 years' experience with Exadata including a full understanding of the architecture.
- Experience with Oracle Database utilities, OUD/LDAP, UNIX Shell scripting, Python, Autosys scheduling
- Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
