The Indirect role is a support position, which plays a vital role in supporting the finishing department. This role is an entry-level opportunity and does not require any previous experience. However, you must be able to tolerate a loud, warm, and physically challenging work environment. The successful applicant must be able to stand for extended periods of time, as well as possess the ability to multi-task. The position does offer the opportunity for cross training and experience in a variety of tasks related to production.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Practice high level of safety at all times
Operate forklift
Dabbing paint
Maintain cleanliness of production area
Load line for chippers/grinders
Remove gating and risers with use of hammers or wedges
Follow process sheets and work lists
Off load castings onto boxes or pallets
Make boxes for parts
Inspect and sort parts for defects
Assembly of castings
Operate hoist to move parts over 50 lbs
Operate saw, pencil grinder, and basic hand tools as needed
Help with other tasks in department as needed
Other tasks as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old to apply
No educational requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Shifts:
Must be available to work 8-10 hour shifts
Must be available for overtime as production needs require
Monday – Friday , some Saturdays required
Typical shift hours:
1st shift: 4:45 am – 1:00 pm
2nd shift: 12:45 pm – 9:00 pm or 2:45 pm – 1:00 am
Pay rate:
Base pay rate of $14.58, 2nd shift premium: $0.70,
1st shift pay rate: $14.58
2nd shift pay rate: $15.28
Base rates increase $0.50/hour upon successful completion of probation (60 working days)
