Job Description
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Registrar's Office is currently accepting applications for a Placement Coordinator (Student Services Coordinator) position.

Coordinate efforts in the Registrar’s Office related to student placement and enrollment in coursework to ensure a timely path to degree. Coordinate the Placement Testing program for UW Milwaukee and UW-System regionally administered testing.  Plan, organize and oversee freshmen related activities, including bridge and other appropriate preparation services related to placement for incoming students. Oversee large group testing for incoming freshmen working with other campus contacts to arrange for appropriate facilities and services. Actively and regularly collaborate with other staff engaged in the admitted student functions related to orientation administration, communications, and outreach.  Serve as liaison with other units that provide direct service to new freshmen.  Engage with other staff internal and external to the Registrar’s Office in utilizing enrollment, class scheduling, and degree progress tools and data to improve efforts related to student progress to degree.  Oversee communications and customer service for placement testing and related services including the supervision, hiring, and training of the student employees. Administer placement and related exams. Interpret test scores and answer questions from advisors, faculty and students. Assist in the reporting of university placement tests and UW-System regionally administered tests. Assist in the management of program and degree progress programming and data in the student information system.  Assist in providing functional leadership for enrollment and degree progress tools utilized by students.  Provide support for other student services functions in the Registrar’s Office as needed.

The minimum annual salary is $43,010 commensurate with training and experience. This appointment includes a comprehensive benefits package covered under the Wisconsin Retirement System.
