Broadwind Energy has openings in our Towers & Heavy Fabrications Maintenance Department for Maintenance Technicians on the Weekend shift Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 5am-5pm. The role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repair of machines and facility to ensure production needs are met.

Daily duties include:
•Install and dismantle equipment
•Change out weld power supplies
•Exchange bevellers for service
•Change flux handling equipment
•Swap trunnions for repair
•Change out VFD/transformers
•Read and follow blue prints and plans for installations and repairs with minimal assistance (rewire equipment, assemble and wire new equipment and troubleshoot)
•Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment (mobile and stationary)
•Do all repairs on equipment
•Perform basic maintenance tasks (plumbing, changing light bulbs and filters
•Record downtime, repair, and PM time
•Complete assigned tasks with minimal assistance
•Independent and efficient operation most yard equipment for repairs and safe transportation of equipment
•Perform daily inspection of rigging equipment
•Perform proper rigging techniques
•Actively support all EHS and continuous improvement initiatives
•All other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
•High School diploma or GED required
•Specialized degree or training is a plus
•One to three years’ experience in maintenance or similar field
•We complete drug screening prior to hire
•We have expectations around attendance, tardiness and quality of work
