Job Description

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Hours (i.e. shift): Various hours based on needs. Candidates must have open availability for work hours that may include daytime, at least 1-2 nights a week and every other weekend.

Starting Salary: $9.50/hour

While receiving leadership support from the team leader, Sales Associates are responsible for inspecting and pricing donated items including apparel, toys, books, household items and collectibles based on established quality standards. In addition, Sales Associates organize, stock and maintain the sales floor to ensure a clean and presentable store for our customers. Sales Associates serve as cashiers, as well. Cashier training includes operating a cash register and answering telephones while providing a positive customer experience.

We have a variety of days and hours available. Candidates must have open availability for work hours that may include daytime, at least 1-2 nights a week and every other weekend. Position Responsibilities:

  1. Greets customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner while maintaining a friendly, helpful attitude toward the customer at all times.
  2. Assists customers in locating and selecting merchandise.
  3. Records sales using the cash register while properly packaging merchandise.
  4. May require the ability to operate a cash register.
  5. Sorts, prices, and tickets donated items.
  6. Maintains the sales floor, merchandise displays, and other inventory in a clean, neat and safe manner
  7. Handles customer concerns in a courteous and respectful manner.
  8. Maintains volume and pricing of merchandise to assure customer expectations are met.

What I must bring:

  1. Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma is preferred but not required.
  2. Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  3. Experience of at least a basic level of competency with computers to complete e-learning opportunities and use our intranet, G-Wiz.
  4. May require the ability to operate a cash register.
  5. Must have good judgment to recognize clothing categories.
  6. Must remain productive without direct leadership.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and/or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The team member also will use their hands to handle objects, tools or controls and reach with their arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit, climb and balance.
  • The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds and more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
