What You Will Do
As an Activities Assistant, you will implement individual and group activities based on the needs and interests of the residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Escort residents to scheduled day, evening and weekend activities within the ministry
- Assist residents during activities
- Attend and assist residents on ministry outings
- Implement plan of care in relation to activities as appropriate to the level of living
- Document and manage “Activity Daily Sheets” for activity participation
- Participate in the organizing and scheduling of community events
- Other duties as assigned
License & Certification
- Preferred Credentials
- BLS certification upon hire, or obtained within thirty (30) days of employment
- Valid Wisconsin CNA license
Education & Experience
- Preferred Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Experience
- 1-2 years of experience planning activities, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with the geriatric population
