Job Description

The Sr. Director / Lead Architect is an experienced thought leader who will be focused on providing overall strategic and execution leadership for the Service Request Center group of applications.

Delivery

  • Ensures timely delivery of business value through technology as negotiated with product and business
  • Communicates and nurtures an engaging relationship with business stakeholders
  • Collaborates with technical partners (ex. Testing, support, design, product, security) to ensure timely and quality deliverables
  • Ensures quality in system and technology products per FXE Engineering Expectations/Guidelines
  • Ensures continuous improvement of Engineering capabilities

Strategy

  • Chief architect in defining roadmaps and executing on target architecture
  • Manages cost and outcomes of work efforts

Operations

  • Accountable for runtime health
  • Can speak to system runtime health on any given day

Talent

  • Fosters an engaging and healthy environment for engineers
  • Manages and mitigates staffing issues and risks
  • Guides engineers on learning and development plans
  • Nurtures a growth mindset for self and teams
  • Contributes to the NM technology brand internally and externally

Prior Experience

  • 2-5 year primary leadership role in delivering business outcomes and leading teams
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide organization maturity
  • Demonstrated experience creating tech strategy
  • Strong communication skills at all levels – upwards and down
  • Strong understanding of architecture concepts, resilient application design, cloud technologies and automation

Related Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Minimum 8 Years' Experience in Highly Technical Roles Covering Multiple Areas Required
  • Deep Hands-On Knowledge of Application Development, Operation and Support Practices
  • Deep Hands-On Knowledge of Either Web/Cloud/Web Service Based Technology, APIs Or DevOps Concepts; Appropriate Professional Designation Preferred; Prior Experience Leading/coaching/mentoring engineering teams
