Staffmark currently has CNC Operator openings for a temp to hire orthopedic company in Warsaw, IN. These positions are primarily on second and third shift . These are great for entry level CNC operators looking for a chance to make a career in the orthopedic industry.
JOB SUMMARY:
The CNC Machinist works with computer numeric controlled machinery from set up to operation to produce parts and tools from metal or other materials. The CNC Machinist operates CNC Machining Centers (lathe, water jet, and mills) utilizing steel, non-ferrous and various alloys in the job shop environment. The CNC Machinist is to process methods in accordance with specifications and quality standards.

The CNC Machinist is to process methods in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans work assignment by investigating machine failures, studying drawings, blueprints, and manuals
- Set up equipment by setting adjustments to match specifications
- Fabricates parts by operating equipment
- Ability to perform, but not limited to: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring
- Documents equipment changes by completing records
- Clean and perform inspections of the first-run part, machines, tooling and parts
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required
- Troubleshoot malfunctions or problem solve as required
- Perform routine maintenance on machines as required
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications
- Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years' prior CNC Machining experience & or certification from vocational school
- Experience reading and interpreting blue prints
- Perform setups on machines
- Willingness to be cross trained across multiple pieces of equipment
- Adherence to safe work practices
- at least 6 months to a year minimum experience
- NIMS Certification
- Attention to detail
