Job Description

Category Procurement Manager-Logistics and Real Estate reporting to the Indirect Procurement Group Director has sourcing responsibility for ~$115 million/year in US Flexibles spend for all domestic and international transport modes (including FTL, LTL, air and ocean). The role also procures logistic services (including brokerage services, Foreign Trade Zone contracts and services). In strong collaboration with the Supply Chain, this position is engaged in the development, implementation and simplification of the real estate and warehousing strategy of over 50 plants and more than 100 warehouses. The individual will collaborate and work closely with other functions in the organization and other Amcor Business Groups around the world to implement Total Cost of Ownership improvement opportunities within the categories.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Strategy Development and Strategy Implementation (50%) - Leads development of multi-year procurement strategies in alignment with Supply Chain and Logistics strategic objectives.
  • Relationship Management (30%) - Develops strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Negotiation (15%) - Manages the negotiation process, content and results.
  • Financial Planning (5%) - Develops budgets and targets based on aggressive yet data-based goals.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • Bachelor's level degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, technical field or equivalent
  • Master's Degree as an advantage.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation or related field.
  • Analytical depth and technical expertise in transportation & logistics processes.
  • Preferred materials knowledge in flexible packaging films and secondary packaging technologies.
  • Working knowledge of purchasing processes and supplier quality systems.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma process improvement methodologies or similar.
  • Expertise / mastery in desktop analytical tools (excel, databases, tableau or equivalent).
  • SAP and/or other ERP systems experience as an advantage.
  • Demonstrates excellent negotiation skills, problem-solving ability and strategy planning expertise.
  • Strong action/results orientation with the ability to work with minimal oversight, to be self-motivated and proactive in achieving individual/team objectives.
