Summary of Responsibilities
Become acclimated to the insurance industry through participation in the underwriter trainee program. Assist in meeting profitability and production objectives by underwriting new business submissions, understanding and evaluating exposures related to individual risks, underwriting routine renewal policies, underwriting most policy change requests. Integrate these functions within the workflow of a Commercial Lines Underwriter. Communicate effectively with agencies in the development of underwriting and exposure information and supports attainment of written premium goals by providing legendary service.

Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance or related field
Excellent communication skills
Analytical and decision-making skills
Effective interpersonal skills including ability to negotiate successfully
