Anguil Environmental Systems, Inc. is a global manufacturing provider of industrial air pollution control and energy recovery systems as well as wastewater treatment technologies. We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant to fill a Controller position. You will be responsible for the financial operations of the business, including the maintenance of accounting records and generation of periodic financial reports. You will also be responsible for a complete set of budgets and controls intended to enhance the precision of reported financial outcomes, mitigate risks, and ensure that reported results comply with financial reporting standards and regularly accepted accounting principles. You will engage in all aspects of financial administration, such as budget and forecasts preparation, corporate accounting, development of internal control policies and procedures, and regulatory and financial reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Fundamental duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assure timely and accurate recording of all transactions
Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day financial activities
Monitor cash balances and report cash activity to senior management
Lead monthly closing activities including hands-on account reconciliation and ensure timely closing and reporting
Accumulate sales tax data and file multiple state returns on a monthly basis
Ensure that financial plans align with organizational goals
Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms
Work closely with Human Resources to develop an economic evaluation of various fringe benefit programs for staff and program components
Interface with banks and lessors, outside audit firms, liability and casualty insurance agents, collection agencies, and credit card companies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Master’s degree is preferred
CPA license required
10+ years of progressively responsible experience
Ability to interpret and analyze business periodicals, technical procedures and professional journals
Effective presentation skills on complex topics to top management
Experience with Visual ERP preferred
Experience with percent complete accounting preferred
Experience with large mechanical contracting firm preferred
Ability to use Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis including lookups and pivot tables
