Job Description
Job Title: General Bindery & Finishing Operator
Reports To: Bindery Manager
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Setup, run, and maintain 40” Iberica Die Cutter or similar equipment.
- Setup, run, and maintain Kluge Die Cutter or similar equipment.
- Setup, run, and maintain 56" Lamina Sheet-to-Sheet Mounter or similar equipment.
- Setup, run, and maintain Laminating equipment.
- Processes and produces daily paperwork.
- Collate and pack-out products as required.
- Transport product/material using power hand trucks and manual hand trucks.
- Maintain a positive team oriented professional attitude approached with an emphasis on continuous improvement and operating efficiency.
- Work overtime as requested by management.
- All other duties as assigned by Bindery Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Basic math skills including fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of applicable die cutting and machinery general maintenance procedures.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Frequent reaching, bending and stooping.
- Ability to use small hand tools.
- Ability to lift between 20 - 40 Lbs. frequently; up to 70 Lbs. occasionally.
- 3 or more years of progressively responsible experience in a bindery and finishing environment.
- Ability to communicate/understand written and oral instructions.
- Strong problem solving, decision making, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Positive attitude.
