Job Description
Pro Staff is hiring for a Boiler Technician for a role within an ethanol plant. This does require a 1A or 2A active MN Boiler License.

Job Duties Include:
  • Learn, maintain and operate all processes associated with the plant where required.
  • Responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of plant equipment and documentation of activities.
  • Learn and operate DCS (Distributed Control System) for the plant.
  • Learn and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Follow procedures for plant start-up, shut-down, cleaning and batching.
  • Respond to collected data and make adjustments to optimize plant operation. Do quality control tests on product streams and make necessary adjustments.
  • Remove, install, rebuild, lubricate and clean all equipment associated with plant processes.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active 1A Class Minnesota Boiler Engineer License
  • Experience with fabrication, welding, cutting; repair of equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, airlocks, fans/blowers, agitator assemblies, and valves; boiler operations and water chemistry; material handling systems such as conveyors; preventative maintenance practices, fabrication and repair of metal/plastic piping systems; and instrument and electrical work preferred.
  • Experience with concrete work, hydraulics, pneumatic and fluid processes and ability to read schematic drawings is helpful.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
