Job Description: PD Systems is seeking Torch cutters skilled on the use of plasma cutting equipment and other torch cutting systems (e.g. Petrogen) applied to ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Torch Cutters must be able to self-identify hazardous cutting situations and notify appropriate personnel. Cutting includes DEMIL prep for ammunition and compressed gas cylinders. The successful candidate must have the ability to self-identify appropriate cutting tool and application for the material presented. Torch Cutters should be able to deploy and work during exercises, crisis, and contingency operations. Other related skills include operating additional demilitarization equipment provided by the government, which would include shear attachments to perform cutting of various materials such as tires and/ or non-tactical vehicles, commercially produced light/ medium material, and gas-operated shredders. PLEASE NOTE: This position is a deployable position and you will be operating in austere environments.
