Come join our beautiful Aurora Medical Center at Grafton! We have 16 spacious operating room suites with new cutting-edge technology and a dedicated OR Educator.

The Surgical Tech Performs a variety of preparatory, scrubbing and related services necessary to provide patient service in the operating room. This position will specialize in Cardiothoracic surgery, supplemented with General surgery (including Robotics, General, GYN, Urology, ENT and Vascular).

**Sign On Bonus of $3000-$5000 based on experience.**

  • Provides for a clean, safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care.
  • Ensures the environmental disinfection, safety and efficiency of the operating room.
  • Transports patients and/or equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains a specialty cart or item, ensuring its completeness and availability.
  • Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties.
Qualifications
License & Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
Experience
style="margin-left:0in;">Cardiothoracic experience preferred, surgical experience required.

Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in the preparation of materials, supplies and equipment for various surgical procedures. Knowledge of various types of equipment used in the operating room. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic computer proficiency.
