BD&P is a key contributor to advancing MSH’s global 2018-2022 strategy by:

• Ensuring that MSH consistently delivers at or above long-term revenue goals
• Establishing a multi-year pipeline, budget, and targets
• Supporting business model innovation
• Supporting the development of donor engagement strategies and plans
• Partnering with Global Health Systems Innovation (GHSI), Program Delivery, and other corporate support units to ensure that all proposals–large and small—are submitted according to compliance and submission requirements, and in line with MSH standards

-This is an unpaid internship and candidates are responsible for their own housing and transportation.

Specific Responsibilities

• Conduct desk research (e.g., complete literature reviews and collect strategic information on potential partners, competitors, and donors)
• Support health systems strengthening bids by helping to fill out health system surveys and collect health system and health finance data
• Contribute to capabilities statements by writing about MSH’s past performance
• Update internal documents and databases, including Salesforce records
• Attend internal and external meetings and events relevant to BD&P team activities

Qualifications and Experience

• Students majoring in public health, public policy, international relations, international development, or related subjects
• Can be a rising senior in an undergraduate program or a graduate student and receiving credit for internship
• Commitment of working at least two days per week
• Ability to initiate and organize work, establish priorities in a time-sensitive environment, and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
• Strong interpersonal and English language communication skills; demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients, and consultants
• Demonstrated research and writing skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work proactively and independently as well as part of a team
• Knowledge of another language helpful, but not required
