Sony Electronics Inc. has a dynamic career opportunity to join our User Experience / User Interface Team located in our Middleton, WI office location. We are looking for a creative junior to mid-level UX/UI designer with a passion for technology and user-centered design.

What will you do?

From conception to delivery, the UX/UI Designer works alongside a multi-national team of designers and developers to define the best user experience and bring a variety of software projects to light. These projects reach both consumer and professional global audiences and span a wide range of media applications. Some examples of projects that the UX team are currently working on include the Catalyst family of software products, Ci (a cloud-based media collaboration platform), and products to enrich the higher education experience. The design team collaborates with Sony's lead design center in Tokyo, Japan, working closely on maintaining a common design language for Sony professional products.

Qualifications:

• Must provide a strong portfolio demonstrating interaction design capabilities (interaction diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, high fidelity mockups)
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design
• Understanding of agile development practices and an ability to work in an agile development environment
• Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, or similar UI design tools
• Proficiency in InVision and/or other prototyping tools
• Demonstrable knowledge in conducting user research and usability testing a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate closely with both co-located and remote team members stemming from a variety of disciplines
• Able to travel if needed
