Summary
This individual will work with other members of the Plant Operations Department to ensure that the buildings and grounds are well maintained, safe and secure.

Primary Responsibilities

Complete daily and routine maintenance work orders throughout the campus

Communicate with staff, residents and visitors in a professional manner
-
Provide great customer service to everyone you will encounter on a daily basis
-
Understand all emergency policies and procedures and appropriate responses in emergency situations
-
Support the philosophy, policies and procedures of Alexian Village of Milwaukee/Ascension Living.

Assist outside vendors and contractors as needed
-
Assures proper salting and snow removal during winter months
-
Attend in-services and meetings as needed
-
Assist in security situations when necessary
-
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations & Facilities
Requirements
-
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
-
Hands-on experience of basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry trades
-
Superior customer service skills
-
Ability to troubleshoot and solve various types of mechanical issues
-
Must be able to perform physical activity and be on feet for long periods of time
-
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
-
Healthcare experience is a plus
