The Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center is a quaint, 105 bed skilled and rehabilitation facility nestled in a residential
neighborhood in Waukesha near Frame Park.
We are looking for reliable, task-oriented persons to join our friendly, fast-paced Dietary department, working as a Part Time Cook. This position responsibilities includes preparing resident food trays, washing dishes and pre-portioning menu items. The Cook position in our facility is responsible for preparing pleasant, nourishing meals which meet the nutritional and special dietary needs for each of our residents.
Essential functions of the position include:
*Supervising dietary staff with regard to food preparation, storage, tray assembly and cleaning
*Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets in proper quantities according to planned menu
*Assists in receiving, storage and verifying invoices for incoming food and supplies
*Serves planned menu, stated portions, resident food preferences and diet order within established time schedules
The successful candidate must have sufficient math and reading skills, and be able to speak, read and write English. Previous experience as a cook in a
health care setting preferred, but not required.
