Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing support for and ongoing maintenance of various areas of the human resources function, including compliance, benefits, compensation, employment, personnel records, and special projects. The Human Resources Administrator will also provide support for and ongoing maintenance of various areas of the payroll and attendance functions to insure accurate time and attendance data collection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Administer short term disability, FMLA, and workers’ compensation leaves/claims. Coordinate return-to-work and light duty efforts with the Safety/Health Manager.
•Enroll employees and dependents in benefits and discontinue coverage, as required.
•Monitor promotion and transfer transactions/process to ensure appropriate entries are made in the HRIS.
•Oversee applicant tracking process to ensure procedures are followed for OFCCP compliance.
•Coordinate and administer the Company’s service award and retirement programs.
•Conduct new employee orientations.
•Answer routine inquiries from inside and outside the Company on employment verifications, benefits claim processing and job openings in line with Company policy on these matters.
•Assist associates on human resources matters of a routine nature.
•Enter new associate transactions, changes in personnel status, and terminated associate transactions.
•Develop and implement HRIS data entry procedures.
•Maintain grievance log and take meeting notes
•Investigate grievances including preliminary responses
•Create/prepare reports and analyses using the HRIS, and other software, as required. Compile statistical data, and assist with special projects.
•Complete compensation and benefits surveys IE: attorney requests, unemployment, social security, etc.
•Work with other HR Department’s staff. Provide training and backup support, as necessary. Ensure adequate phone coverage is always available.
•Maintain plan and office bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legal compliance manner.
•Performance of related duties in support of the human resources function, in a primary or backup capacity.
•Review and edit electronic timesheets for accuracy and compliance to Company policy.
• Reconcile punch/scan information to labor charges.
•General administration of the attendance process.
•Answer routine inquiries from inside and outside the Company on payroll related issues in line with Company policy on these matters.
•Performance of payroll related duties in a primary or backup capacity.
•Communicates with all levels of management/supervision, union personnel, contractors, and on-site customer personnel.
•Work with applicants for various positions within the Company.
•Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•A two-year degree in Human Resources, Administration or related field and one year HR experience is preferred. This also can be met with a High School diploma or GED and with four years previous HR experience.
•A working knowledge of employment regulations, labor relations and/or typical human resources procedures is preferred
•Incumbent must be well versed in Excel and Word.
•Previous HRIS experience is a defined plus.

•The ability to manage time effectively to ensure the timely completion of assigned projects is a must.
•The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information is essential.
•Excellent organization and communication skills are a must.
•Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
