Job Summary: Excellent opportunity for a current undergraduate or graduate student to gain exposure to healthcare administration and data analytics. The Business Analytics Intern at Prominence Health will be focused on providing analytical support across various departments as well as directly to Senior Leadership. The position will start off gaining sufficient training on health insurance and value-based care concepts, as well as basic data analysis and programming skills. The intern will then apply their knowledge and critical thinking skills to Analytics projects and provide value-added insights to impact business outcomes. The intern will meet with leaders of various internal Prominence departments to learn how our health plan operates, and how data analytics can be used to drive success across the organization. The intern must be comfortable to work with tight deadlines, minimal direction, and shifting priorities. The intern's role may include extracting data from multiple data sources, analyzing and preparing detailed reporting and insights. Aside from day-to-day work, the intern will work on a flagship analytical project that they will be expected to complete and present to Senior Leadership at the end of their term.

Internship term will be between 10 and 12 weeks starting on either 6/17/2024 or 7/1/2024. Prominence Health will offer hourly compensation during internship term. Academic credit is not guaranteed but may be arranged if student coordinates with their faculty or school administrator.
8 hours a day work schedule will be required. Reasonable accommodation can be made for any planned or unplanned time off during internship term.
This is an onsite position. Intern must be able to work in the office at least two days a week. The position can be based in either of the following Prominence Health locations: Reno, NV or Las Vegas, NV. Travel or lodging expenses will not be covered.
