Position Description
Lakeland College, an independent liberal arts institution located in eastern Wisconsin, invites applicants for the position of Director of Institutional Research and Assessment. This position provides leadership and coordination in the areas of institutional research, outcomes assessment, and overall effectiveness as an academic institution. Information provided by the Director facilitates decisions regarding strategic planning, policy making, resource allocation, and enrollment projections made by the College. The Director also aggregates and analyzes a wide range of mostly non-financial data sets required for preparation of reports required by accrediting agencies and other external constituencies. The Director coordinates program review and academic assessment endeavors with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College the faculty, and members of assigned faculty committees; provides support for development of program assessment plans; and assures that this process is effective and efficient.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; attention to detail; knowledge of quantitative data analysis; and familiarity with statistical and database application software are required. A master’s degree is required. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in accreditation processes, data collection, and analysis in a higher education setting.
