The Director of Practice Operations is responsible for developing, coordinating and directing the ongoing day-to-day operations and activities of a multiple-site, multiple-physician pain management practice. Responsibilities include management of administrative operations such as patient scheduling, medical records and authorization, physician and staff relations and attention to patient satisfaction concerns.

This position, which reports directly to the COO, is also responsible for providing leadership, staff development and management of key services in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Candidates must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.

A working knowledge of reimbursement regulations and healthcare practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to a healthcare company is required.
Experience in selecting and managing vendors, suppliers and contractors and optimizing the use of outsourced services is preferred.
This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or a related healthcare field. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years administrative management experience in a healthcare setting with at least five years in a supervisory capacity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, public relations skills and the ability to successfully and positively interact with physicians is essential
