Position Description

Community Care is a growing non-profit managed care provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with disabilities and frail elders by helping them continue to live in the community as independently as possible for as long as possible. Our interdisciplinary teams of doctors, NPs, RNs, LPNs, social workers, rehab and recreation therapists, pharmacists, dietitians, personal care workers, along with a myriad of others, work together to develop comprehensive, participant-focused plans of care that enable us to achieve our mission. We currently have 1 opening for a full-time Service Authorization Specialist at our 206 Court Street site in Chilton! Duties & Responsibilities: • Completes data entry functions, including renewing, modifying, editing, entering, and issuing service authorizations in Medical Manager for case management staff. • Verifies correct item codes and processes service authorizations through Medical Manager. • Stays abreast of authorization code and provider contract changes and provides procedural and information assistance related to service authorization processing to IDT members to ensure accurate and timely processing. • Assists staff with computer support including the iemployee timesheet system, Medical Manager, the Provider Enterprise System (PES) and Intergy Electronic Health Record as needed • Provides administrative support for IDT members such as routine filing, photocopying, faxing, etc. • Provides as needed back-up coverage for other support staff; .answers the main incoming phone line, completes general office duties, receives and distributes incoming mail and processes outgoing mail. • Assists support staff in maintaining an adequate supply of needed forms, office supplies and building maintenance supplies. • Arranges for office equipment maintenance if needed. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: Minimum of two years data entry and clerical support experience required, preferably in a health care or social service setting serving older adults/geriatric clients and/or adults with physical disabilities. Claims or service authorization processing strongly preferred. Qualified applicants must be able to travel as needed, generally within the county. Requires use of personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.
