Position Title: Accounting Manager/Controller

Broad Position Description:
Uses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issues including the maintenance of internal controls. Coordinates and manages the monthly financial close, supervises the assignments of the staff accountants to include general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, and sales tax accounting. Prepares monthly management financial reporting package and executive summary schedules. Coordinates and facilitates the process of documenting accounting policies and procedures.

Principle Responsibilities:
• Plan, direct, and coordinate the monthly close process
• Ensure financial systems output provided are appropriate for senior management (i.e., consistent, accurate, complete, etc.)
• Ensure adherence to the Company's accounting policies and controls over financial reporting
• Oversee and ensure the accuracy of all accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, and sales tax accounting.
• Work with the finance team to create monthly variance to budget reports and work with functional Vice Presidents to explain variances.
• Key contributor while working with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts
• Other projects as determined by the senior management team

Accountability:
• Approximately $70mm in sales
• Approximately $20mm in inventory
• Nexus in 40 plus states

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5-7 years in accounting and public accounting a plus.
• Strong Knowledge of sales tax regs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree, Accounting or Finance
• CPA
