Position Summary: Develop, Implement and Manage credit and collections processes and portfolios for US, Canada and Mexico which includes direct reports within the Americas and indirect reports located in Manila, Philippines. Job Requirements: Develop and implement strategy and vision for the credit and collection function ? Identify areas that can be improved to increase productivity and efficiency and lead teams to implement necessary changes. ? Together with Global Order to Cash Process Owner, develop, implement, and communicate regional policies and procedures including but not limited to scoring models and credit limit reviews ? Recruiting, assessing, training and managing local staff and providing assistance as needed as it relates to Manila staff. ? Management of high risk or troublesome accounts as needed including visits to the customer sites if necessary. Negotiate customer workouts and bankruptcy activity including preference defenses. Participate on Creditors? Committees as needed. ? Advise Finance, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations management of risks and opportunities in the customer base, and communicate problems in the order-to-cash process. ? Develop and monitor key metrics that measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the credit functions both locally and in Manila. ? Report to management on key strategies and metrics monthly ? Develop and implement counter measures for key metrics that do not meet established targets. ? Coordinate the collaboration between credit teams and customer service managers to eliminate sales order entry error impact on cash inflow. ? Coordinate effective credit support for business unit commercial management teams through local and Manila credit and collections teams ? Coordinate activities of 3rd party collections agencies ? Work as part of global teams to implement order to cash cost savings initiatives and process automation (Get Paid, EDI, credit cards and e-commerce) ? Develop and implement working capital initiatives to drive A/R downward. ? Annual credit line and exposure review with finance and business management teams ? Monthly assessment of business unit expenditure and accrual requirements particularly, the bad debt reserve. ? Develop Quality and Dispute Management analysis and hold meetings with commercial team to review and agree corrective actions. ? Ensure all high level credit lines are reviewed annually within 12 months of their prior review. ? Ensure compliance to policy in adherence of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and work cooperatively with internal and external auditors to address and resolve any potential findings. ? Maintain USA Escheatment reports in compliance with State laws as they pertain to accounts receivable and as requested by Finance and auditors. |
