Remedy Intelligent Staffing is currently recruiting for a LPN for a position with a client in Madison, WI.

Under the general supervision of the Administrative Services Manager, and the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Medication Specialist/LPN position is responsible for assisting team nurses and Nurse Practitioners to ensure medication compliance by our client's participants. This includes transcribing medication orders and entering orders in VPrime, monitoring changes in orders and timely delivery of medications.

Requirements for this position include licensure as a practical nurse (LPN), knowledge of medication delivery and packaging methods; medication types, classes and interactions; and medical terminology. Qualified candidates will have prior experience working in a Medication Room environment. Must have one year of vocational/technical training or equivalent knowledge and experience. Incumbent should have good hand/eye dexterity to work with small tablets, and the ability to sit, stand, crouch, reach, twist and walk for eight hours per day. Must also be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
