Position Description

POSITION PURPOSE
To assist the Associate Director II of the Cancer Center with all responsibilities related to the Cancer Center Advisory Board, development and managing efforts to obtain private gifts and grants for the Cancer Center.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Assist Associate Director II with the development and implementation of programs to increase gifts and pledges in consultation with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and the Cancer Center Director, including donor recognition and stewardship of gifts, developing strategies for and cultivate corporate, foundation, non-alumni, grateful patient and organizational prospective donors.

2. Assist the Associate Director II in working with fund raising groups which support the Cancer Center such as the MACC Fund and the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse.

3. Assist the Associate Director II in staffing the Cancer Center Advisory Board

4. Maintain awareness of Cancer Center priorities and faculty.

OTHER DUTIES

Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: 3 years proven fundraising experience

Certifications/Licenses: None

Ability to set challenging yet attainable goals, and lead others toward achievement of goals. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate information necessary for business success. Ability to demonstrate personal integrity in all interactions.
