Job/Project Description: Join the Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour staff and help organize The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's fastest growing local event. The Scenic Shore 150 Bike tour is a 2-day, 150 mile bike ride that is held annually in July. Tasks include, but are not limited to: • Communication with participants through eNewsletters, email, phone calls, and website • Developing event materials • Sponsorship management • Event promotion through media contacts • Creating, securing and tracking news releases, PSAs and mentions in media for event promotion • Managing Event logistics • Working with SS150 committees • Recruiting and managing teams and participants Time Required: At least 8 hours per week Skills Needed to be successful with Scenic Shore 150: • Excellent written and verbal communication • Strong organizational skills • Detail-oriented • Able to work on multiple tasks • Independent worker within a team environment • Computer literate with Microsoft Office Applications • Positive and Energetic Attitude • Interest in Graphics/layout (preferred, not required)
