Andes Candies L.P. currently has an opening for a Production Supervisor.

The candidate will be responsible for leading a team to achieve goals in areas of safety, quality, productivity and GMP compliance.

Potential candidates will possess but not be limited to the following skill sets:
- Strong personal safety constitution and leadership of safety practices and policies. Lead by example.
- Ability to quickly learn, lead and direct operations in the area of responsibility. Solid understanding of manufactuing process flow.
- Knowledge and practical use of lean manufactuing and 5S concepts.
- Ability to work with and provide direction, discipline and encouragement to a diverse crew. Interact with crew in both disciplinary and recognition arenas.
- Knowledge and practical use of inventory control, packaging and raw materials specifications.
- Provide operational expertise to support groups i.e. QA, Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving, HR, Safety Team, etc.
- Demonstrate ability to quickly assess, organize, assign and manage available resources to meet production needs.
- Able to challenge the status quo and embrace continuous improvement. Able to be a "Change" agent.
- Must have above average computer skills and be familiar with MS Office programs, business management systems (Oracle) and other data management programs.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Motivated leader with a proven track record of measurable results.

A four-year degree in business, operations or other related field of study is required
A minimum of five years experience in food manufacturing (chocolate background a plus) is preferred.
The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate within a cooperative team environment.
