Design Engineer

A small Milwaukee based manufacturing company is looking for a mechanical engineer with at least 3 years experience designing machinery. This experience should include the design of the hydraulic circuits, rotating equipment, system packaging, instrumentation, and controls. The engineer will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle from concept design, cost estimation, detail design, supplier selection, production start-up, and service documentation and training.

The candidates must meet the following qualifications:

BS-Mechanical Engineering

3 years design experience including the completion of significant hydraulics related projects

Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and objectives

Demonstrated attention to detail, discipline toward documentation, including successful experience with drawing/document version control

Able to apply strengths of materials concepts to design problems

Basic understanding of electrical circuits, instrumentation, and electromechanical control.

Experience using SolidWorks for complex parts and assemblies.

Superior verbal and written communication skills

LabView S/W experience is desired

Hands on experience with machine repair/assembly and fabrication and the ability to transfer this into manufacturable designs.
