Position Description
POSITION PURPOSE
To assist the Department Chairman and Administrator by effectively managing the financial resources of the department. This position’s primary focus will be on the financial reporting and analysis of the Orthopaedic clinical practice and the pediatric practice of Anesthesiology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Develop and maintain monthly and ad/hoc financial and productivity reports to foster data driven decisions. Examples include clinical revenue analysis, and budget variance analysis. Analyze and report on trends identified.
2. Assist in the development of processes to ensure the efficient use of existing reporting tools and technology (i.e. financial cube, CAPS, Epic, SIS, etc.)
3. Assist the administrator in the development of the annual budget, including budget monitoring and control processes and procedures. Develop budget guidelines/standards to measure/evaluate performance. Maintain budgetary controls throughout the fiscal year.
4. Coordinate the department’s accounts payable function. Review expenses for appropriate cost controls and general ledger accuracy. Ensure compliance with MCW corporate policies and procedures.
5. Maintain reporting required for quarterly incentive calculations.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
Education: Bachelors Degree, Financial or Accounting background preferred
Experience: 5 years experience required, preferably in a healthcare or business setting
