As an Associate Pathologist you will:
Provide support services to Pathology commensurate with current knowledge of veterinary/toxicologic pathology
Attend necropsies as required and provide scientific guidance to necropsy and histology technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance with protocols and SOP’s.
Prepare for ACVP examination (approximately 1/3 time).

DVM/VMD degree or equivalent.
Formal pathology residency or graduate studies (ie MS, PhD) at an institution in which the training of veterinary pathologists is a primary function.
Eligible to take the certifying examination given by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
Ability to conduct necropsies and to recognize, describe and interpret findings at necropsy.
Ability to evaluate tissue sections from animals, including selected special stains and procedures.
Ability to provide scientific guidance and feedback to necropsy and histology technicians to correct necropsy techniques, correct histologic artifacts and prevent reoccurrence of technical problems in order to ensure accuracy and compliance with protocols, SOP’s and client expectations of quality necropsy techniques and histotechnology.
