Position Description
Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, located near Madison, WI is looking to add a Sales Engineer to its team. A Sales Engineer will understand extrusion capabilities and have a detailed understanding of plastics that can be used to develop new opportunities. This person will target customers/markets where plastics can be used to reduce cost or bring advantage to the market.
Responsibilities:
• Understand full scope of customer’s business; develop multiple relationships within company and clients.
• Create multi-functional teams from both internally and externally to address cost reduction initiatives and develop new business opportunities to eliminate competitive situations.
• Work with customer’s technical/engineering group to develop new products within the company’s capabilities.
• Develop new business by working with prospective customers, solving customer complaints and issues, preparing customer sales budgets/forecasts and coordinating sales.
• Frequent travel.
