Position Description

Description:

A professional position with a non-profit company with one of the premier youth serving agencies in the Milwaukee area for 30 years. A Milestones Head Teacher is responsible for the providing for the safety and well-being of a group of school age children before and after school. The Head Teacher will establish a specific program for his/her classroom and provide for the effective implementation of this program in the classroom. The Head Teacher ensures that the program planned for and implemented in his/her classroom operates within the standards of the State of Wisconsin. Applicants must demonstrate a adeptness and desire for teaching and leading children in a group setting.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess at least one year experience working with children in a group child care setting(preferably with School Age children) as well at least one year of supervisory experience.

College degree preferred with a background in education and/or child development.

Experience working in after school programs and summer day camps a plus.

Professional people skills are a must.
