Position Description
ACS Group provides leading world-class technical services and auxiliary products for the plastics and other industries. We operate manufacturing facilities around the world, delivering a broad line of equipment to conquer the toughest processing circumstances. ACS uses the latest technology to design and engineer the perfect fit and then installs the turnkey system to exact specifications. Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Production Supervisor for our Chiller Department. A successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Supervise 20-25 mechanical and electrical assembly employees operating a production line in accordance with plant policies and procedures
• Develop training, train, and coach production line employees
• Conduct employee performance reviews
• Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations
• Maintain time and attendance for employees
• Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
• Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels and employee relations issues
• Schedule and conduct shift meetings
• Responsible to meet shift production goals
• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
• Responsible for capacity planning and metric tracking, include labor efficiency
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S)
• Complete shift paper work
• Ensure units are completed accurately and on time
• Comply to safety policies and standards of the company
• Conduct quality control testing
• Assist in production as necessary
A qualified candidate will be pro-active, dedicated, and possess these requirements:
• Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management degree preferred and/or 2+ years of manufacturing supervision experience
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly
• Ability to read electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, and schematics
• Knowledge in refrigeration, and/or exposure to chillers or HVAC
• Experience with brazing
• Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees
• Positive work attitude
• Experience with Lean and ISO 9000 is a plus
• EPA Universal certification is a plus
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
• Standing for extended periods of time
