Purpose of Position: To maximize retail sales within the Aveda Institute while exceeding expectations of the guest. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent • Cosmetology license a plus • 2-3 years of retail experience • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills • Ability to manage time effectively • Prior Aveda related work experience a plus • Alignment with the Aveda Mission The Aveda Advisor supports the technical team/students in the areas of the retail sales, education and coaching. The Aveda Advisor would spend 80% of their work day supporting the technical team/students with retail sales. The technical team/students would fill out a purescription pad for each guest with the recommended products for home care and the next pre-booking date. They would then proceed with the guest to the Aveda Advisor to check off on a traveler/service ticket that the purescription pad has been completed. At that time, the technical team/student could either hand the guest to the Aveda Advisor or work with the guest themselves. The Aveda Advisor or technical team/student would then escort the guest into the retail area and fill a basket with all the recommended products and purescription pad. After that, all products are reviewed with guest to determine which products the guest will be purchasing that day. The guest is escorted to the front desk (with basket) to check out.
