Community Outreach to Veterans

The Albany Park Community Center's Veterans Employment and Transition Services Department specializes in assisting veterans with employment and workforce development services. With four veterans on staff, the Albany Park Community Center's Veterans Program works to connect veterans with veteran-friendly employers, thus helping them to obtain sustainable employment while assisting with their transition from military to civilian life.

Allamakee County Veterans' Affairs Office is a service office, who works with honorably discharged veterans, their spouses, and eligible dependants. We take care of the indigent with necessities of life. Also furnish medical help by using a number of VA Hospitals and have a van service to transport veterans to The Iowa city VA medical center from five different counties.

We are the State Headquarters of The American Legion. Chartered by Congress in 1919, The American Legion was founded as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veterans organization. We are a community service organization which now numbers over 156,000 members in Illinois, in over 800 local Posts. These Posts are organized into Divisions, Districts and Counties. Each Division, District and County has officers who provide leadership in their respective areas.

The Buchanan County Veterans Affairs office is able to provide assistance to qualifying Buchanan County residents who have an Honorable military discharge, wartime service dates and meet income requirements on an emergency need basis.

It is an honor for us to provide assistance and support to veterans and their dependents in obtaining veterans benefits through county, state, and federal programs. We act as an advocate on their behalf and assist with submitting the correct paperwork to establish, increase, or maintain proven benefits or disabilities. If it is out of our jurisdiction or area of control, we will work with other authorized government or private agencies to ensure that no benefits are forgotten.

The Center for Veterans Issues, Ltd. supports the concerns of all veterans. CVI provides information, resources, leadership training, technical assistance, organizational development and volunteer services coordination to Veteran Service Organizations. CVI also provides identification of funding and grant opporunities, along with staffing and housing support. CVI promotes veterans' issues through program service design, planning and implementation.

Our Mission: To provide responsive, timely and compassionate assistance to veterans and their families, in applying for veterans benefits through state and federal programs. In recognition of their service to our nation, we will act as an advocate on their behalf and provide referrals to other agencies and providers, as appropriate.

Our mission is to assist veterans and their families with obtaining local, state and federal benefits. We help them discover the benefits to which they are entitled and assist them with the application process. The Dane County Veterans Service Office is committed to advocate for veterans, provide quality services and programs for them and their families.

The Commission of Veterans Affairs provides assistance to Delaware County veterans who were discharged under Honorable Conditions and/or their family members.

The Desert Veterans of Wisconsin is a Veteran based Non Profit organization in Northeast Wisconsin focused on improving the lives of all area Veterans through financial support, scholarships, and peer to peer interaction at our monthly meetings.
