HR Coordinator-Belvidere Plant:

The Belvidere Manufacturing Facility is a 600+ person site. The plant is one that produces bars, packages cereal, and makes Fruit by the Foot. The HR Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting the deployment of key HR initiatives including but not limited to Payroll, Talent Management, Compensation, Learning & Development, Data Insights and Project Management. This position reports into the site HR manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specialist Responsibilities-

  • Provide leadership and ownership of Workforce system and timekeeping for the wage and Team Leader group. Be the Subject Matter Expert for Workforce and all HR policy tied to payroll and timekeeping.
  • Plant payroll support for the Global Shared Services (GSS) in Mumbai.
  • Support employee new hire orientation by leading Workforce and timekeeping training.
  • Provide leadership and ownership of all compensation processes for the Plant.
  • Ownership of the Pcard (plant credit card). Administer timely payment for plant bills and expense reporting.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and documentation in compliance with Global Internal Audit standards. This includes converting paper files to electronic.
  • Provide day-to-day HR customer service to all plant employees, including researching and resolving questions or issues.
  • Provide support to Plant HR Team
  • Support annual HR processes including Affirmative Action Planning, Benefits Open Enrollment, Data Validation, Engagement Survey Administration, and other initiatives.
  • Support key plant events (Boone County Fair, end of fiscal year event, employee giveaways, visitor events, etc.) throughout the year.
  • Provide leadership for HR process improvements.
  • Support other duties, plant and function initiatives as needed.

Business Partner Responsibilities-

  • HR Business Partner for functional client groups
  • Project lead for change management initiatives
  • Partner with HR Manager and leadership in strategy development & execution
  • Special projects as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, and SharePoint; with a willingness to learn and master other software programs as needed
  • Ability to drive results in a highly ambiguous and constantly changing environment
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills - ability to prepare and analyze HR reports, translate data into recommendations and take appropriate action to achieve desired business results
  • Ability to lead and manage projects independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $43300.00 - $59600.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
