As Director, EHS this position will be responsible for the overall direction and scope of the EHS function within the Forged Products business unit. This will include management of EHS Managers at all Forged Products production sites, strong leadership of continuous improvement, strategic leadership of both safety and environmental strategy and compliance, and leadership at an enterprise-level for all functions within the EHS function.

A successful Director, EHS will quickly grasp ATI's processes and business culture, assess where the organization is from a safety and environmental standpoint, successfully communicate both up and down the organization, and possess a strong continuous improvement mindset.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

  • Overall organizational environmental and safety compliance.
  • Provide strategic direction for the planning and development of goals.
  • Provide oversight and direct improvements to the EHS Management System.
  • Provide oversight for applicable air, water, and waste permitting and interface with ATI Legal as necessary.
  • Evaluate capital projects for potential environmental and safety impacts.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement tools in all aspects of
  • Provide oversight for the Workers' Compensation Process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS or business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Experience managing the EHS function at a manufacturing facility with 500+ team members
  • Experience with ISO 14001
  • Inspection experience with radiation equipment, crane operations, health programs, machine guarding, investigations, LOTO, Haz Com, etc.
  • Prior experience achieving measurable and sustainable results in a lean manufacturing environment
