Job Description
Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Wage: $24-$32/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 3pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment
- Day to day facility upkeep
- Develop maintenance SOP's and maintain proper records
- Assist with day-to-day facility upkeep and manufacturing/distribution equipment repair and preventative maintenance
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic, HVAC and electrical/electronic equipment
- Record repairs and maintenance performed
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Complete maintenance work by requested due dates
- Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on plant equipment, identify opportunities, and take measures to reduce waste
- Suggest cost-saving upgrades to equipment and changes to improve performance of equipment
- Source and order parts and supplies when needed
- Support continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events facility wide
- Oversee outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
- Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs and the Preventative Maintenance program
- Assist manager in overseeing major installation or repair projects
- Additional duties and tasks as directed by supervisor

Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade school courses or similar formal training from past employer
- One or more of the following Professional Certifications preferred: electrical, hydraulic, PLC, welding, machine equipment, HVAC, or plumbing
- 2 years of full-time Industrial Maintenance experience in an industrial environment performing maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems preferred
- Experience working with TPM or PM programs preferred; in-depth knowledge and experience working with electrical controls strongly preferred
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Bend, walk, kneel, stretch, and stand for extended periods of time
- Work at heights of up to 30 feet
- Work in confined spaces, indoors and outdoors in all climates and unclean environments with fumes, dust, and poor ventilation
