1. Demonstrates professional accountability by maintaining skill competency related to:
2. Effectively utilizes interpersonal, oral and written skills when communicating with internal and external customers.
3. Complies with Gundersen Health System Safety and Emergency policies and procedures for self and patients taking into consideration their age specific/developmental needs.
4. Participates in quality improvement activities in order to continuously improve patient care, health outcomes and department operations. Participates in staff meetings.
5. Assists with rooming patients as directed by RN
6. Assists with transport of patient throughout organization to other departments as needed.
7. Performs other job-related responsibilities as required.
Education and Learning:
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalency
Work Experience:
REQUIRED
1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
License and Certifications:
REQUIRED
Wisconsin Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Age Specific Population Served:
Infant (less than 1 year)
Pediatric (1 - 12 years)
Adolescent (13 - 17 years)
Adult (18 - 64 years)
Geriatric (65 years & older)
OSHA Category:
Category I - All Employees in this job title have a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials.
Environmental Conditions:
Exposed to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements/Demands Of The Position:
Walking/Standing Frequently (34-66% or 5.5 hours)
Squatting Occasionally (6-33% or 3 hours)
