Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Director of Application Technology & Development to lead technical platform development, integrations, and data conversion across all applications and ERP environments. This critical role will be responsible for directing technical resources, ensuring environment health, defining upgrade approaches and roadmaps, and managing development roadmaps and resource capacity across all functions and segment areas. The Director of Application Technology & Development will report to the Vice President of Global Enterprise Applications, and will play a key role in driving our organization's digital transformation initiatives.

Location: Milwaukee, WI (hybrid)

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of coders and configurators to deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to technical team members to foster a culture of growth, excellence and innovation.
  • Oversee the health and stability of application environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Implement monitoring and maintenance processes to proactively identify and address potential issues and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define upgrade strategies and roadmaps for application platforms and ERP environments.
  • Assess the impact of upgrades on existing systems, processes, and integrations, and develop mitigation plans as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive development roadmap aligned with business priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure the successful execution of development projects across all functions and segment areas.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading application technology and development teams in complex, global environments.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • 12 years of experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and integration platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute upgrade strategies and roadmaps.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
