Job Description

TSC is seeking a forward-thinking & highly motivatedSupply Chain Analyst II on site in our Huntsville, AL location. The ideal candidate is a collaborator, who uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes, assemble data, analyze performance, identify problems, and provide recommendations that support program planning and operations. Critical to the job, the candidate manages and executes the material planning function by managing inventory levels to achieve forecast and schedule requirements, and coordinates with Engineering to ensure the timely ordering of Advance Material Order (AMO) requirements for long lead time items and project-based orders and create requisitions to fulfill MRP recommendations and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Program Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain Team in reviewing manufacturing requirements and determines the resources (labor and materials) necessary to achieve the plan, then time-phases the requirements to support the master schedule.
  • Support PM with project costing requests; identify responsive and responsible sources of supplier, raw material costing/RFQ, and tooling requirements to support the program-manufacturing schedule.
  • Provide timely feedback to relevant parties and maintain detailed schedules and material requirements lists for program and proposal efforts including, but not limited to, current and potential shortages, and the development and execution of a recovery plan.
  • Thoroughly review, familiarize, and understand existing Bill of Materials (BOM) structure as well as the physical products for assigned program/project.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to ensure that data is accurate and up to date, including creation and modification of requisitions, and coordination with Suppliers, Purchasing, Quality, and Materials the flow of material needed for production to support MRP/PM request dates.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts that support Key Performance Indicators (KPI) goals.
  • Influence and Champion make/buy decisions for established/repeat build products.
  • Support RMA customer returns as required/needed.
  • Other team support functions as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in operations/manufacturing planning, inventory control, or materials planning role
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Experience with Material Resource Planning, Costpoint a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand technical drawings/requirements.
  • AA/AS in Supply/Operations Management, Business, Accounting or Finance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current APICS certification
  • BA/BS Degree in Supply/Operations Management, Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Experience with contract manufacturing (electrical/mechanical)
  • Product Lifecycle Documentation system's experience
  • Working knowledge of Government sourcing rules, FAR/DFAR, ITAR, CUI
