We're actively seeking a talented Investment Operations Analyst to join ourFixed Income Investment Ops Teamin Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site, hybrid, or remote (depending on location).

As an Investment Operations Analyst, you'll play a key role in providing full Operational, Middle Office support to Portfolio Mgmt, Credit Analysis and PRT teams. You will contribute to Investment Management process by ensuring accurate and efficient capture of trades and security masters, managing investment data, and work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, risk management, and other internal teams to address operational challenges and support investment decision-making.



How you will make an impact:

  • Handledaily capture oftrade activity across asset classes via STP workflow, troubleshoot automatedfile errors, working closely with IT team to resolve and drive effective communication with broker dealers to ensure timely settlement.
  • Proactively interact and coordinate with Custodian Banks, Paying and Tabulation Agents, Issuers, Trustees, Legal Firms, varied internal teams to collaborate on complex transactions and resolve technical or operational hurdles that may arise.
  • Conduct deep-dive research on income and position discrepancies across asset classes, coordinate closely with internal teams and utilize advanced problem-solving skills to resolve and remain attentive to opportunities for added efficiencies.
  • Maintain investment data integrity within internal systems and databases, including security master files, pricing data, and corporate actions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to trade execution, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate operational processes to enhance efficiency and mitigate operational risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational procedures, controls, and workflows.


The experience you will bring:

  • 2+ years' experience working in investment operations/middle office role ininsurance, asset management, hedge fund, or investment banking
  • College degree in finance, accounting, similar discipline and/or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of the following systems: Bloomberg AIM,Business Objects, MS Office Suite, ePAM
  • Intermediate to advancedExcel skills
  • Foundational understanding of Investment Operational methods, market trends, technology, and workflows
  • Well-rounded experience providing full operational support in the realm ofPortfolio Management, Asset Management, Private Equity, Banking, Account Administration or Client Services
  • Strong ability to work autonomously, adhere to established controls and procedures, exhibiting keen attention to detail and accuracy while also collaborating with peers, clients, stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and teams across business areas to accomplish core goals.

  • Experience coordinating settlement processing/ mechanics with customer banks, issuers, agents, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with standard legal docs related toTerm loans andPrivate Placements
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external counterparties
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Prior involvement with coordinating Asset Transfers, Free Receipts and Free Deliveries
  • Proficiency with Nexen,CTM, ALERT, Bloomberg API, Excel, ePAM

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$31.98 - $39.08
