Job Description

Work Schedule:

100%, day shift. Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM. On-call rotation required. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! Our Maintenance and Engineering Services team is dedicated to maintaining and repairing both critical and non-critical equipment, building structures and support systems that are integral to maintaining a safe and reliable healthcare environment.

We are seeking a Steamfitter to:

  • Install and diagnose pneumatic and DDC controls.
  • Install and maintain steam heating and hot water systems, gas and electric heating systems, heat exchangers for domestic and heating water systems, chilled water, glycol and DX systems.
  • Utilize skills with welding and brazing.
  • Possess knowledge of BAS interface. JCI and Trane systems are a plus.

Education:

Minimum - High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred - Five year steamfitter apprenticeship or equivalent apprenticeship

Work Experience:

Minimum - Three (3) years of service work experience.

Preferred - Three (3) years of construction/installation of mechanical systems.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - EPA certification completed within six months of hire. Valid Driver's License.

Preferred - Journeyman certificate or equivalent experience
