Note: (Continental Shifts) 12 hours 6am-6:30pm and weekends.

Job Description Oversee the PM activities of the production lines. Main focus is teamwork and the reduction of down time per line.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze the production line to provide a safe working environment
  • Monitor the PM plan schedule completion and assist the maintenance department in the weekly updates of the PM plan by production line
  • Identify and report constraints during the PM implementation such as parts, times and technicians to perform Critical machine repairs and PM
  • Document, report and monitor the execution of CIP Work orders in the line with the maintenance department
  • Responsible for documenting and analyzing all line calls
  • Assist maintenance in the development of WO based on the results of Root Cause Analysis findings
  • Document and implement any cost saving opportunities for Maintenance projects in the line
  • Actively support and strive the Mission, Vision goals completion set by CI Project, the facility, and Furlani
  • Coordinate Maintenance Kaizen events to reduce startup down time, machine breakdowns, interruptions and inefficiencies
  • Work in conjunction with line and process leads to reduce waste and defects per workstation
  • Establish critical control parts inventory per line 
  • Work with the Parts Clerk to help organize and maintain critical parts room inventory control. This includes the introduction of bar coding in collaboration with maintenance department
  • Sustain 6-S implementation
  • Partners with Maintenance on writing work instructions or standard Maintenance Procedures regarding PM tasks
  • Collect daily and, weekly maintenance KPI’s [Down Time, WO completion and PM completion]
  • Implement Maintenance routine check methods
  • Partners with Maintenance Lead to identify and organize a complete list of machine assets and record them in the PM program
  • Attend the daily and weekly CI meetings and support the line leads and project leads in the follow up activities

Technical Knowledge:
  • Organized and detailed
  • Mechanical/ Electrical incline
  • Good communication skills.
  • General computer skills [MS Office]
  • Team player, Positive attitude, and ready to embrace change
  • Able to work 80% of their time at the production floor
  • Ability to work between shifts
  • Experience in the Food Industry is an asset with familiarity regarding Food Safety and audit requirements
  • Experience in maintenance function within manufacturing environment (including food industry in general) a plus

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or similar
  • Experience with power tools and other equipment used in maintenance
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Firm grasp of health and safety codes

Qualifications:
  • Organized and detailed
  • Mechanical/ Electrical incline
  • Good communication skills
  • General computer skills [MS Office]
  • Team player
  • Positive attitude and ready to embrace change
  • Able to work 80% of their time at the production floor
  • Ability to work between shifts
  • Experience in the Food Industry is an asset with familiarity regarding Food Safety and audit requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience performing complex work assignments in the discipline with normal supervision
  • High school diploma or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician
  • Experience with power tools and other equipment used in maintenance
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Firm grasp of health and safety codes
