Compensation

Salary Range: $36.79 - $55.75 per hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities

The Development Officer position is primarily responsible for the management and support of all events for the Community Memorial Foundation. Events include, but are not limited to, the Benefactors' Ball, major gifts receptions, employee giving events and numerous informational and fundraising events held at the hospital and within the community.

Qualifications
Required:
    Associates Degree
  • Two (2) years of special events experience
  • Current Driver's License
  • Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under the CMH insurance coverages
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Healthcare experience
  • Razor's Edge database software knowledge
  • Fundraising special events experience
  • Past work with stewardship or customer service of major donors

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all Development Department and Foundation events in concert with the fundraising team, including managing and/or coordinating budgets, contracts, invoices, logistics, correspondence, marketing, volunteers and operations.
  2. Work with volunteer committees and provide meeting agendas, minutes and reports/analyses of status and results.
  3. Coordinate all Development Department events and activities such as Employee Giving, Grateful Patient events, etc.
  4. Participate in departmental staff planning and team meetings to ensure overall direction is clearly understood and that the plans supports the Department's identified strategic direction.
  5. Maintain professional fund raising competence to ensure that the most effective strategies are operationalized and incorporated into all development processes for which the position is responsible.
  6. Supervise event volunteers and vendors during events.
  7. Ensure smooth operation of all fundraising events.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
